The Dr. Vondriska's laboratory investigates epigenomic mechanisms of cardiovascular disease. In his lab, the systems biology approach employs genomic, epigenomic and proteomic discovery tools to examine animal models and human populations. He wants to discover the basic principles of chromatin biology as well as to understand the causes of cardiovascular disease—towards the goal of new therapies and cures.
